Integration with SQL Server Management Studio

Post by Beth » Fri Jan 13, 2017 4:27 pm

The integration with SSMS works the same as in Visual Studio.

1) Create a project and create the items needed for the database project. You could alternatively turn an existing database into scripts.

2) Go to Tools - Options - Source Control - Plug In Selection, choose Vault, and click OK.

3) Right-click the solution and select Add Solution to Source Control.

4) You will then login, choose a Vault repository, and then choose a location for the SQL project.

5) After the project is added you will have locks next to your files. Now you can right-click items to perform source control functions.
