Vault Professional 7.1.0 Automatic Checkout in VS2013

Using VS2013 Premium, Windows 7 64 bit, 7.1.0 (32028 build) and for some reason, after upgrading from classic client to enhanced client, files I start editing are not being automatically checked out. I get a flag indicator after saving the file, but the file(s) are not checked out. Any thoughts?

Open your Vault GUI client, then go to Tools - Options - Concurrent Development Style. What settings do you have set there?

If your files are set to writable already, then they won't automatically check out.

In your Vault GUI client, what is the status on the file?
