Hello,
I'm currently trying to get the latest version of some source code from VSS using soscmd version 4.2 and getting the following errors:
Could not open file \s22c.js. Error Num=13
Could not open file \s22c.js. Error Num=2
Error: Server response = 203 File
The command I'm running is similar to the following:
soscmd -command GetProject -server "XXXX:8888" -name "XXXX" -password "" -database "e:\vss\XXXX\srcsafe.ini" -project "$/XXXX" -workdir "C:\XXXXXX" -recursive -label
The errors look similar to this post:

Is there a patched version of soscmd that I can use which has the fix mentioned in the above post?
Thanks
Reuben

Re: Error: Server response = 203 File with version 4.2
There isn't an update to SOSCMD 4.2. The problem the user experienced was due to the UAC on Vista. We think the SOSCMD.exe had been trying to access files in a protected directory and UAC is blocking it.
Which version of SOS Server and Client are you using?
What operating system are you using SOSCMD on?
Can you do the same operation using the SOS Client?

Re: Error: Server response = 203 File with version 4.2
The server and client are both version 4.2
The OS on the client side is Windows 7 Enterprise SP1
The OS on the server side is Win Server 2008 R2
I can get all the files successfully if I use SOS client navigate to the project, right click and choose "Get Latest Version.."

Could you send me the full command you're using (don't need server, login info).
