After a server failure and subsequent rebuild, I had to restore the source control databases that were ~a day old, then reinstall Vault (6.1).
Since then, when trying to check out a file that was added between last backup and SC restore, I get a VaultClientOperationsLib.GetLatestVersionFailedException error in Visual Studio, or in the Vault client I get "Check out failed for $/myproj/myfile: The object path could not be found. It may have been deleted, moved or renamed.".
I've cleared the client cache (%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\SourceGear\Vault_1\Client) and restarted IIS on the server, but then I get:
An exception was encountered during the get latest operation. Exception: Server was unable to process request. ---> Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Also, when I try to add a file that was added to the project but lost from source control during downtime, I'm getting a "object ID already exists" type message.
How do I fix these?
Thanks in advance,
Duncan

Re: Errors after d/b restore
We were able to resolve the problem by deleting the client-side cache again, with the Vault GUI Client closed.
