I'm having problems with labels being dropped on files when I import from SourceSafe to SourceGear. Output from VSS Import:
Label Verification: The label V05.01.03C was not imported because of the VSS error "File "$/Process Automation/DbServices/L3Logger" not found"
Label Verification: The label V06.03.00C was not imported because of the VSS error "File "$/Process Automation/DbServices/L3Logger" not found"
Label Verification: The label V06.03.01C was not imported because of the VSS error "File "$/Process Automation/DbServices/L3Logger" not found"
....
....
And on and on on for many different projects....
....
....
It looks like this is occuring because in the past these folders were renamed. Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround for it?
Lost labels when importing from SourceSafe
Re: Lost labels when importing from SourceSafe
We'd like to see a copy of the import log. It's in the VSS Import tool directory. Send the log zipped up to support at sourcegear.com attn: Linda. Include a link to this forum post.

Sent log file from import
Re: Lost labels when importing from SourceSafe
I tested labeling a folder in SourceSafe, then renaming the folder and labeling it again. It imported with no errors.
In your case, I'm seeing a lot of server errors related to the label import. Could you send me a copy of the Vault server log for the time of the VSS import? It's called sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine. Send the log zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.
