Hi Gang,
This is a minor crisis. I tried to open Vault client this morning, and was greeted with the following:
Login Failed: The server could not establish a connection to the database. Please check the server's log for detailed information. (FailDBConn)
I tried logging into the server, and got a similar message. When I tried to look at the log file, I get an access is denied message (I am the administrator), I suspect this is another case of Windows 7 "protecting" me.
I'll appreciate all help.
Roger

Re: Out of the blue--can't connect
Hi Linda,
I woulda liked to look at the log too. But Win7 was "protecting me" from doing that. Yesterday, I finally got some time, and determined to work out this issue. Another MS dribbleware update happened the previous night. I thought I'd try vault again, to examine the error message, and what to my surprise, it's working! It has been working since. So, now I'm happy developing, again.
Thanks for your reply, Linda.

Glad things resolved themselves. Yes, Windows updates can cause problems for Vault, depending on what was updated.
