System32 appears to be used as temp directory

Post by pkg » Wed Aug 18, 2004 9:22 am

We have recently upgraded to SOS 4.0.2. We are noticing quite a few files showing up in our Windows\System32 directory on the server. I have put a specific path into the Server Manager pointing at the SOS\Temp directory and restarted the service, but the files keep coming.

Any ideas?

We are considering creating a user that does not have write privileges on system32 and starting the service with that, but are not sure what that may break.

What types of files are showing up here? Source code files? Temporary files?

Could you send me a copy of your sossvr.prp file from the SOS Server directory?
