Error when viewing file history

I have a file in a branch. I select view history on the file. Then if I do a diff for a change made on the branch, after the branch, everything works. If I try do a Diff for changes that are in the history list but were made before the branch, I receive the following error:

Exception of type 'VaultClientOperationsLib.GetLatestVersionFailedException' was thrown.

Any ideas? I've tried rebuilding all the caches, both my local cache and the server one and it didn't help at all. I dont remember this being an issue prior to 5.0.

Are you selecting two versions in the History list and diffing, or are you right- clicking on a single version and selecting Diff, which brings up "Show Differences?"

I am right-clicking on a single version and selecting Diff.

This is a known bug, item 13450 in our item tracking database.

After a branch, you can select two different versions from history query results and diff. But if you right-click on a version prior to the branch, select Diff and launch the Show Differences dialog, it gives an error message

This worked in versons prior to Vault 4.x.

We'll be doing a remote assist session so perhaps we can find a workaround.
