BeginLabelQuery returned: FailInvalidSessionToken

Post by robe070 » Wed May 18, 2011 5:43 pm

This was recorded in the server log yesterday:
----18/05/2011 2:34:45 PM phil--LANSABUILDPC4(10.2.1.53)--SSL Disabled BeginLabelQuery returned: FailInvalidSessionToken
----18/05/2011 2:34:52 PM phil--LANSABUILDPC4(10.2.1.53)--SSL Disabled Logout
----18/05/2011 2:34:59 PM phil--LANSABUILDPC4(10.2.1.53)--SSL Disabled Login

The user said this:
I did a show history with no labels (saved History favourite), to see which versions I was interested in. I then did a “Show Labels” which gave the "you are not connected" error message. It then brought up the login dialog.

BTW: What would be really good is if you could just do a show history, then filter the results, or even just be able to sort the results by clicking on the column headings. Ie return the history in a grid
Its is not immediately reproducible - the use did the same thing after logging back in. It happens occassionally. There was another one earlier in the day for a different user, but they are not clear what they were doing at the time. There may have been a merge around that time.

Our Vault server is busy and its not clear how to reproduce it so I am loathe to put the server log in debug mode.

A common reason for this error is that the Vault session has timed out. Did the history operation take a long time?

Have you been having performance issues?

Although you can't sort the columns in the History Explorer, you can save the history results as a CSV file, bring it into a spreadsheet program, and sort it there.

To do this from History Explorer, click Query in the menu bar, and then choose "Save Results As'"

The history operation did not take a long time. It was the following Show Label that had the issue.
