checkin/label inconsistency

Post by rgkeefer » Thu Jul 29, 2004 10:22 am

Occasionaly when I check in a file to vault and then create a label for that folder, the latest version of the file does not get included in the label. The version that was checked in is version 13 but the version that was labeled was 12. What causes this to happen?

I tried to attach an image as an example but it kept erroring out (Upload Error: Could not upload Attachment to ./files/label.jpg)

Can you try a test:

1) Label the parent folder. Make note of the version of the file in question. Also make note if the file is pinned, and if so, pinned to what version.

2) Invoke Show Label on the parent folder.

3) Invoke Label Promotion from the Label created in step 1.

4) Inspect the label for your file. What version does it contain? Does it match the same version you noted at step 1?
