Client GUI Flicker

When I first open Vault and connect to a repository in the Vault Pro Client, it displays the repository folders, and then goes through a cycle of flickering with the hourglass (or spinning circle on Win7) shown. Finally after numerous cycles, it settles down and is usable. Then, when I click on the View Vault Pro Work Items button in the Pending Change Set window, it goes through this cycle again. SQL Profiler shows repeated calls to splistsavedqueries with incrementing project IDs and repeated calls to spupdatesessionactivity.

I am guessing that the product is doing something where it is looping through the Work Item Tracking projects to build or parse a list or something like that, and since we have 40 Projects, it is very noticeable to us.

I would like to request that this be modified to be less obtrusive.
