SOS does not support Windows authentication the way VSS does. When SOS users log in, they need to use their VSS username and password. You can set SOS Client for auto login by clicking the "Connect automatically" and "Remember password" checkboxes in the login dialog.
One reason for this is that the SOS Server is logging into the database; the users are not directly logging in.
