Hello,
I'm importing a VSS 6.0d database that is roughly 2.5GB in size and while I've had no problems importing, through handoff, previous snapshots of this same VSS database this shapshot has a very large number of shared files with the previous snapshots did not. Is there a known limitation or issue with importing a VSS database with a large number of shared files? The last status I saw on the handoff page was that it was comitting ~21000 rows and this was right after it was done examining all the files that were shared.
Also, once I navigated away from the handoff page I was unable to get back to the status page so I have no idea if this process actually finished though when I logged on via the GUI client I could see files but none of them had the 'shared' icon next to them.
At any rate, I'm going to delete this instance of this Vault Repo and start the handoff process again, this time with debug logging turned on, and I'll let you know my progress.
Thank you!

Re: VSS Handoff
After a long night everything handed off fine. It took 5 hours just to get through all the file shares but with debug logging turned on it became obvious what was going on so there was much less concern and no-one breathing down my neck now that I could provide updates on the progress.
I might suggest that some sort of progress indicator on the admin Web interface might be helpful if the handoff code detects a crazy number of file shares that its going to have to commit one at a time or perhaps it would at least be a good idea to have handoff's log their progress to some useful extent even when Quiet logging is what is set on the logging admin page.

Thank you for the update. I will log a feature request for a progress bar during hand-off. Thank you for your feedback.
