Possible to refresh a shadow folder?
Is it possible to force a shadow folder to be refreshed? That is, to make the Vault server check if any files are missing from the destination and copy them over if so. For example, suppose a shadow folder has been set up, and then a subdirectory in the shadow folder tree has been manually deleted from the drive. How would one make the server replace that deleted subfolder branch?
The shadow folder gets updated/refreshed on every commit from the Client.
So if you delete a file or a folder from the local shadow folder, the next time someone performs a commit (add, checkin, share etc) the shadow folder will get fully updated. If there are files or folders in the repository that do not exist in the local shadow folder, those files and folders will be retrieved.
Currently there is no way to refresh the shadow folder without doing a commit from the Client . If you do not want to wait for a commit from a client to update the shadow folder, you can re-do (delete then re-add) the shadow folder association in the Admin Tool.
