Hi - I cannot connect to the vault server thru VS 2010. When I do;
1. file>Vault Source>Open From Vault
2. the vault connect window opens
3. I hang and time out when I try to connect. I get the please check settings etc.
4. However if I can connect using the Vault client program just fine.
I have:
Uninstalled reinstalled vault
repaired VS 2010
reinstalled vault again.

Just pulled it down last night.
I was using the 5.0x before. Same issue.

We'd like to see copies of your Visual Studio and server logs.
First, enable debug server logging in the Admin Web Client under Server Settings->Logging->Log Level.
If you are using the Visual Studio Enhanced Client with VS 2005/2008, you can enable logging in VS under Tools->Options->Source Control->Integration Options. The log will be in your user's temp directory.
Reproduce the problem, then send me copies of the logs. Let me know what username was experiencing the error and what time the error occurred so I know where to look for in the logs.

I will get that to you in a bit. A few other things I am running 64bit Windows and the problem is with VS 2010, like it is firewalled and yes, I did try that route. If I fire up the GUI client I connect just fine to the servers. Thru visual studio I just hang and then time out saying there is no server.

This user had an anti-virus program which was blocking Visual Studio connections. He changed his settings, and now he can connect with both Vault GUI Client and Visual Studio.
