When checking out a file in Visual C++ 6, the source control tab will display duplicate messages:
[10/7/2010 2:44:20 PM] Checking out file $/filepath/file.cpp
[10/7/2010 2:44:20 PM] Checking out file $/filepath/file.cpp
[10/7/2010 2:44:20 PM] Checked out file $/filepath/file.cpp
[10/7/2010 2:44:20 PM] Checked out file $/filepath/file.cpp
Is this a known problem?
Thanks,
Alex

What version of Vault are you using?
What OS is this installed on?

Re: Visual C++ 6 integration duplicate status messages
The Vault Client is 5.0.4 and server is 5.0.4.18845, running on windows xp with SQL server 2000 developer edition.
Re: Visual C++ 6 integration duplicate status messages
Are there any other symptoms besides the report of a double check out? If you look in your Vault GUI client, does it list just one check out? Are you able to edit the file and check it in?
Is XP the machine for Vault Client or Vault server or both?

Re: Visual C++ 6 integration duplicate status messages
No, not that I know of. The file can be checked in with the new changes and and its version number correctly gets incremented. Both client and server machines are running win xp pro.
Re: Visual C++ 6 integration duplicate status messages
I think I've reproduced what you are seeing. It doesn't appear to have any negative effects on the project, but I can see where it's confusing. I will log a bug on this.
