Hi,
I have a vs.net 2005 website project (not a web application), somehow I managed to add the website to vault.
I think I created a blank solution file above the website directory and was able added to the vault.
Now when I try to load this project from a different computer (other developer's), I get the error
"Some of the properties associated with the solution could not be read".
We are using sourcegear 4.14 and Source gear vault Enhanced Client.
I don't think the new solution file I created didn't get checked in because in the sourcegear vault client, I see the solution file inside website project folder. This is the old solution file which I didn't delete it.
Thanks
Roshan

When you create a new blank solution, you have to add the website to the blank solution. Then you will perform the action of Add to Vault. Is the new .sln file inside of Vault at all, or was it not added?
Do you have a working folder set in Vault? If so, are you sure it exactly matches what Visual Studio is pointing to? Go to File - Vault Source Control - Change Vault Bindings. What do you see there? Is everything valid? What do the paths look like?

Re: Unable to load vs.net 2005 website project
Finally I got this to work.
This is what i did, unbind the project, created a new blank solution, add that to vault right way, then add the website to the solution.
If i add the website to the solution before checking the solution to vault, the solution file never get into the vault.

Re: Unable to load vs.net 2005 website project
Was it giving you an error when adding the solution and project together to Vault?
That's unexpected behavior, but the work-around you performed is ok.

No, didn't give any error message, but for some reason the solution never got checked in or eligible changes when i add the project to the soultion.

I think it's possible that the website was retaining some old binding information. If it gives you any more problems just let me know.
