[5.0.4] Always offline after ip change on vault server

We have changed the ip range of our servers recently
Solutions have been unbinded/rebinded to save the new ip in solution/project files

But it looks like the project always starts in offline mode after the ip-change
Make sense when the old ip still exists in my source files, but the problem persists

We have upgraded to version 5.0.4 from 4.* yesterday due to introduction of VS 2010 in some of the teams
I am runnning VS 2005 due to integration with biztalk 2006

Any thoughts?

Were you using a profile before? Perhaps the profile is no longer valid, if it had the old server name in it.

Profiles were updated when servers were moved
I'll check the content of the files if they are readable
Otherwise I can can delete the profile and recreate it see if it helps

I consulted wtih one of our developers about this.

The Enhanced client remembers its connection state between VS starts.
If you were offline (or did not login), and shut down VS, the next time VS starts, you will still be in "offline" mode.

Could this be what you're experiencing?

Hmm maybe it's the case remenbering the offline state of the latest solution/project opened?

Makes sense somehow as I am opening "old" solutions unbind everything and rebind with new ip
VS then remembers the initial offline state and does not switch to online even if I rebind on the new ip

I have checked with some solutions I am sure binds to the new ip and vs opens the solution online
Or maybe I have triggered the online state after I have opened the solution using "open from vault"?

Hmm a bit confusing

I will try different ways of opening "old" solution files in a more "structured" manner and see what happens next
