Request: Free text diff-merge

Hi, I have a feature suggestion. I would like DiffMerge to be able to compare/merge two free text (as opposed to only loading from a file).
In this mode of comparing, there will be two text boxes and I can edit both boxes ( by typing or pasting from somewhere), and DiffMerge will be able to compare the two texts. This is very convenient if you want to compare two pieces of texts/codes without having to create a new file for both of them.

I've logged feature request 15514 for this functionality. It will be evaluated for an upcoming release of SourceGear Diff/Merge

Apologies for digging up this old post, but any word on whether this feature will be included?

Haven't found a decent tool for Mac that also includes this yet

It's on the list, but I've not had a chance to work on it.
To be honest, it's not likely that I'll get to it any time soon.
