Problem converting project(s)

Post by thomas woelfer » Sat May 08, 2010 11:34 am

hi.

i'm in the process of converting a vs 2008/vault 4 solution to vs 2010/vault 5. vs will checkout all projects from the solution, and convert everything etc....

however, for all "vc" projects in the solution, all of the vc projects are "renegade". i think this has to do with the "new" project files having other extensio than the old ones, but i'm rather unsure what to do about this. any pointers?

ok, figured this out: i simply opened the vault client and checked out all the renegades. looks like this works.

Visual Studio needs to be able to write to the solution and project files when upgrading to a different version of VS. Checking out the entire solution allows VS to make the updates it needs. Those changes need to be checked in for the other users as well.
