You already have the file checked out

Post by kman » Tue Apr 20, 2010 9:01 pm

Ive had this problem for a long time, dumb as i am i have just 'stuck' with it.

When i go to edit a file in my project, it doesnt automatically check it out of vault (even tho i have the option 'On Edit, automatically check out' set within the options).
I was hoping my upgrade to VS2010 would resolve this, but it does not. I was living with it, but now i realize how much code i have lost because of it. Since it doesnt auto check out, when i check-in (from proj or solution level) it doesnt know to check in my changes, please help!

What version of Vault are you using? Are you using the Enhanced or Classic Client for integration? What type of project is this?

Very good questions:

[4/22/2010 10:59:15 AM] Version Check: This Vault client is version 4.1.2.18185
[4/22/2010 10:59:15 AM] Version Check: Your Vault server is version 4.1.2.18185

Classic Client Integration (since i have vault and not fortress)

this occurs in all projects in my solution - these include web, class library and winforms

My solution consists of 11 projects.

I have upgraded to VS2010 but had the exact same issue in VS2008
