Using Vault 5.03.
If I leave my Visual Studio 2008 running overnight, when I come in the next day I cant perform any source control tasks. Typing in a document brings up CheckOut dialog but then goes away and nothing is done. If I use the Check Out button then I get an "Session invalid" message. I have to then close and re-open the solution.
I am presuming this is because of a nightly 'pool recycle' on the Vault IIS.
This is a big annoyance, is there anyway to get Vault to just try and connect to the server again before failing and giving up?
The Vault client gets the same message but at least it does re-connect immediately and all is well. However it would be better for it to just autoamtically reconnect and only then would it display a message.

Re: Session Invalid
One option you have is to go to the File->Change Vault Bindings dialog. From there, you can uncheck the Online checkbox to enter offline mode before you stop working for the day. Hit Ok on the Bindings dialog. Then the next day you should be able to click the File->Vault Source Control->Go Online menu item to reconnect to the server.
Meanwhile, I've logged feature request 15268 for auto-connect with Visual Studio if the connection has been lost.
