Install Catch 22

I have tried to upgrade Vault from 4.1.4. to 5.0.2 and the server update sat there for over an hour on 100% at which point I killed it. It seems to have installed the server ok and the website is all there but here is the catch 22
- I cannot reinstall the server to check it is ok as it reckons the install is already in progress
- I cannot upgrade the client as it says there is an install is already in progress
- I cannot uninstall the server as it is not in add/remove programs

so what can I do?

I am installing on Vista as I use Vault just for myself.

I'd suggest rebooting the machine, which should stop any installation processes.

Then you can try using the Microsoft Cleanup tool to remove the installation from your machine. and reinstall.
