Best practice visual studio solution file?

Should the solution file its self be checked into source control or should each developer maintain their own?
Any recommendations?

If you are using the Vault Enhanced Client, you will find it works best if you check in the solution file. The cases where I see users working well without the solution file is if they are using the Vault Classic Client and it's a website.
