Unable to get old version of renamed file

I can't get an old version from a repository when the file has been renamed.
The file has a history and somewhere in the history the file has been renamed (leaving the history intact).
If I perform Show History on the file and select an old version (with the old name), the following message is displayed:

"The requested version (4) of "$...." can not be found in the current repository. If the object has been deleted, you will need to undelete it and then try again."

Any suggestions?

BTW : It's a binary file and therefor a "Show difference with previous version" won't give me access to the file (because that's not possible).

Vault Client version 4.1.4 (18402).

We'd like to see a copy of the Vault Server log that covers the failed history operation. It's called sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine.

Also, Show History on the file and in History Explorer, under the Query menu, choose "Save results as . . ." Save as a .csv file and send the log and query results zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.

Log was in another place, but didn't show any errors related to my message.
When trying again to reproduce, it seemed to magically work (without me making any modifications).
The only thing I tried in the meantime is retrieving an old version of a file that wasn't renamed...
