Hello,
I am getting the following error when logging in to Vault.
"The Vault Server could not establish a connection to the database. Please check the server's log for detailed information. (FailDBConn)"
When I check the server's log, I see the following information:
Could not load connect string. There is probably an error with the encrypted password for the sgvaultuser database user. Contact technical support at http://support.sourcegear.com
Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed?

Re: Error Logging into Vault
Did this happen at the same time as an upgrade or move or fresh install?
The easiest way to deal with this is to perform an uninstall and reinstall. You could also treat this as if you were moving the database as well and use the instructions here, http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=924, but for most the uninstall and reinstall is easiest.
-Uninstall and select the option to keep the database
-Open SQL Server Management Studio and browse to the Security - Users section under the sgvault and sgmaster databases.
-Remove the sgvaultuser. If it asks to remove a schema called sgvaultuser, then remove that as well.
-While still in SQL Server Management Studio, Go to the Security - Logins area for the SQL Server and remove sgvaultuser from there as well.
-Install Vault.
Vault will recreate the users.

Re: Error Logging into Vault
The reinstall worked. This was a fresh install last week and the everything was working well for several days. This morning when logging in, I received the error. There were no changes made except that a daily sql backup job was added to the two databases. We shall see if it happens again tomorrow after the backup.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Re: Error Logging into Vault
Ok. Also, watch for automatic updates. I've seen that affect the encryption as well.
