Invalid password - login failed

In SourceOffSite there are a few caveats regarding passwords which are as follows:

It is not possible to automatically log in. SourceOffSite does not support the SourceSafe option Use Network Name for Automatic User Login. The user name and password specified in the SourceOffSite Login dialog box must correspond to the user name and password specified in the SourceSafe Admin utility.
In SourceSafe 5.0, the OLE Automation interface does not allow passwords longer than 7 characters. If a password is 8 characters or longer, the user will not be able to log in. This problem has been fixed in SourceSafe 6.0. If using SourceOffSite with SourceSafe 5.0, the solution is to shorten the password in the SourceSafe Admin utility.
In SourceSafe 5.0, the OLE Automation interface does not allow user names longer than 15 characters. If a user name is 16 characters or longer, the user will not be able to log in. This problem has been fixed in SourceSafe 6.0. If using SourceOffSite with SourceSafe 5.0, the solution is to shorten the user name using the SourceSafe Admin utility.
