My understanding is that Vault does not support SQL Server 2005 SP3. I am having a problem with SQL Server 2005 SP2 on my Vault server, which is Windows 2008. Microsoft says the solution is the installation of the following patch: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967199. The installation file for the patch is about 185MB, which had me concerned as to how much of the update would be similar to SP3.
My question is this: What is it about SP3 that Vault is not compatible with? I would like to get this information so I can verify with MS that the update I need to install will not conflict with this Vault requirement.

Where did you see info that Vault doesn't support SQL Server 2005 SP 3? I have Vault 4.1.4 on one of my machines and it's using SQL Server 2005 SP 3 and I have not experienced any problems. We haven't done a fully range of testing, though.

Re: Vault and SQL Server 2005 SP3
Well, I can't seem to find it now. I remember seeing something a while back about it, but maybe it was just that it hadn't been fully tested yet,and coupled with the fact that the Requirements list says SQL Server 2005 (SP2), then I just assumed it wasn't compatible.
I will proceed with the hotfix install (after I take a backup of course!). Thanks.
