VSS/SOS Db empty

I was running yesterday Analyze utility over a particular Db and after 8 hours of working the utility finished saying that some files were still open the new Db can not be copied. As a result the entire Db disappear. Is there any way this to be fixed?

I have never heard of Analyze removing a database, but you will want to check with Microsoft. I haven't found any information why that would happen.

Do you have a backup? That would be the best way to go I think.

Did your database land in the recycle bin?

Does your event viewer show any useful errors?

If you have a concern about SourceOffSite, then I would suggest stopping the service before running Analyze.
