recreating /restoring connection to vault from VS2008

Hi, my PC (Win XP Sp3) was corrupted and I had to restore OS and re-install some applications. My connection to vault server was broken and I can't do it manually - project files are not found every time I try to do that. Since I had some changes in my local project files before that I don't want to delete all local files, I would prefer to recreate project on a Vault server from existing VS2008 project but all my attmepts to do so failed so far (binding and unbindind, remove binding, etc.) .
Is there a proper procedure to do that?
My Vault client is version 4.1.4.18402, Vault server is version 4.1.1.18060

Are you trying to bind to the Classic or Enhanced Client?

What error are you getting?
