Client can't connect to server over the web

Post by GuitarRich » Fri May 08, 2009 4:47 am

I have the server setup on a dedicated Windows 2003 server, I can access all the pages through internet explorer but I can't get the client to connect.

My service url is http://62.233.107.154/vaultservice/vaultservice.asmx which I can see fine in IE, but the client always gives me this message (I turned customErrors off so I could see the underlying .net fault):

Code: Select all

Unable to connect to http://62.233.107.154/vaultservice/vaultservice.asmx. No server was found at the specified URL. Please verify your network settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI Client. Web Exception: Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with the error message:

For the server information in the client, are you entering only 62.233.107.154?
