Critical Error - User can't access repository

Post by andrew1906 » Sun Apr 26, 2009 9:53 pm

I've been troubleshooting this for an hour now, no avail.

I created a user, andrewl, in the admin. I've put this user in the admin group. This user can "see" all 3 of my repositories - but when it connects to repository 1 or 3, I get an error:

You have no rights to view any items in this repository

But for some reason, Repository 2 gives me access. Don't know why.

To try to answer your questions:
* Folder Access is disabled (though I tried to enable it and assign permissions, still didn't work). andrewl is an admin, and the default Repository access for ALL repositories is Access.
* I can't see anything different between Repository 2 (which works) and 1-3 (which doesn't).
* I tried to login as andrewl from another location, and I get the same error - so it's not the client side cache (though I did wipe this)
* Both server and client are running 4.1.4.18402
* The admin account works fine, and can access everything

This is impeding my ability to work and is unacceptable. I just bought two licenses an hour ago and can't even use the software. Please help.

Thanks!
Andrew

Try closing any open clients and deleting the client side cache again for user andrewl. I'd suggest renaming or deleting the entire Vault_1 directory which holds the cache files. Then restart IIS on the Vault server machine with an iisreset command from the command line.

Can you log in now? If not, send me a copy of the server log. The Vault server log is sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine. Send the log zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.
