vault client installation on windows 7 breaks sql manager 08

I have a client that uses vault Version 4.0.5.15922.

my laptop has windows 7 build 7068. after installing the vault client, sql manager 08 (sp1) stops functioning. it gets a com interop error after connecting to a database server. if I uninstall the vault client, the sql manager functions correctly.

the error that i get in sql manager has to do with the Microsoft.VisualStudio.OLE.IServiceProvider interface. returning a error that No such interface is supported (E_NOINTERFACE) on object with the guid of {6d5140c1-7436-11ce-8034-00aa006009fa}

I have visual studio 08 sp1 installed as well.

Thanks for the report. We haven't tested Windows 7 with Vault yet, so it's not fully supported. There were some COM issues with Vault client installations in earlier versions. You might try upgrading to Vault 4.1.4 to see if that resolves the issue. You'll need to upgrade the Vault server as well.
