Could you please add a feature where you could see the name of the computer where a file is checked out? I often switch between my desktop and my laptop and it's difficult to tell which computer the file is checked out on. If I check it back in on the wrong computer I can loose changes once I do Get Latest on the computer where I actually made the changes.
Thanks

Re: Version 5.0 Request
Has this feature been implemented in version 5 by any chance?

Re: Version 5.0 Request
This has not yet been implemented in SOS 5.0, but I'll bump it up in priority. Thanks for your feedback.

That would be great, I am really missing this feature.

Re: Version 5.0 Request
Sorry, I mislead you. I discussed this with our developer and this would be difficult to implement.
The reason is that to VSS, the checkout location is the machine hosting the SOS Server. The SOS Server communicates with the VSS database via the SourceSafe Automation Component. To VSS, the SOS Server is the client. The VSS API does not allow a "substitute" host name to be used within the Checkout method. In other words, this could not be done within VSS, and tracking it by SOS would be problematic.
