We are using Vault 4.1.3 and are using Labels to mark deliveries.
If we want to change a file (i.e. a source file) that is under the delivered label, do we use Label Promotion?
Basically, we want to change one or more files at a label.
I believe we would retrieve the "Label" then make changes locally.
The question is how to get those changes into the old label without destroying newer code already completed since the old label.
Thanks!

Re: Label Promotion?
With label promotion, you can add or delete files in a label, or change the version of a file in the label.
Changing a label should have no impact on the latest version of code in the repository. It only changes the contents of the label when you Get that label.
To use label promotion, run the Show Labels command, select the the Labels tab, highlight the label you want and click Promotion. Under the Label menu, you can add a subfolder or files, and if you right-click on a file in the label's file list, you can delete or change the version of a file.
