Error connecting to Vault Server from Visual Studio 2008

hi I am getting error connecting to Vault Server from Visual Studio.

First I got an error message saying "There was an error generating the XML document.".

Then I was prompt to login to Vault. And then I got a 2nd error message
"Unable to connect to http://servername/VaultService. No server was found at the specified URL.
Please verify your network settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI Client.
Web Exception: The operation has timed out"

I could connect to Vault Server using Vault Client GUI, but not from Visual Studio.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

What version of Vault are you using? If you're on Vault 4.x or later, are you using the Enhanced or Classic Client for integration?

Is there any error in the Vault Server log that corresponds with the failure? The Vault server log is sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine.

I am using Source Gear Vault 4.1.0 Visual Studio Enhanced Client.

I have no access to the server, but I think the problems lies with the integration with Visual Studio since I have no problems connecting to the server using Vault GUI client.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Vault Client but it didn't help.

When you get the error, how are connecting to Vault with VS? Are you opening a project from disk, opening from Vault, adding project to Vault?

Have you tried a repair installation of Visual Studio?

I'd also suggest upgrading to Vault 4.1.4, so we can troubleshoot using the latest version.
