This is something I just noticed while comparing between a new Vault repository and the original VSS database. We had two folders in VSS that ended with a period, but those folders had the period removed when they were imported into Vault. If I try to add the period I get an error saying "invalid character" and the transaction fails. It seem to only happen when the period is at the end of the folder name, as we've got hundreds of folders with periods in them, but only these two with the period at the end. So my guess is that Vault doesn't like the "./" combination in the file path.
This doesn't pose any problem for me, since I simply changed the two VSS folder names and now everything matches just fine. I just didn't know if this was a known "issue", so I thought I'd bring it up.
Vault will not allow folder names ending with a period.

I have the same results. I am not sure if it was by design or not, but I'll log it as a bug so that it gets looked at more closely. Thanks for the feedback.
