We have a client who is currently unable to upload two files to our SourceSafe Database using SoS. The issue seems peculiar to these two files (both of which are approxiamately 50Mb) as other files have been uploaded successfully. We have also ftp'd the files and loaded the files directly to SourceSafe without any issues.
The SoS version is 4.1 running on a Pentium 3 (730Mhz single processor) Windows 2003 server. When the user attempts to upload the file the status pane indicates :-
Login Successful
Updating File List
Received File List
Adding File : File1
Adding File : File 2
Operation Failed : File 1
Operation Failed : File 2
and the error is recorded in the log as follows :-

Any Help would be much appreciated

SoS 4.1 Upload Problems

Re: SoS 4.1 Upload Problems
The first thing I would recommend is to upgrade to SourceOffSite 4.2 for both client and server. This is a free upgrade. We made some changes in 4.2 to optimize the upload of very large files.
Let me know if this does not resolve the problem.

Re: SoS 4.1 Upload Problems
Linda,
the client is currently running version 4.2, consequently it is only the server that needs upgrading. Could you please advise as to where the dowload and any subsequent upgrade information can be obtained, is it simply the full download available from your downloads page and then installed over version 4.1 ?
Thanks

You can download the 4.2 SOS Server here:
http://www.sourcegear.com/sos/downloads.html
Run it over the existing installation to upgrade you 4.1.2 server.
