Can't find install directory when installing Client

Attempting to reinstall Client (v4.1.1 I think - March 2008) after uninstallation (and installation/uninstallation of another older Client for another old Vault server) on Vista Home Premium notebook. When it gets to configuring VS IDE, I get an error message "can't find install directory", and it tries again. It fails again and rolls back the install. Any ideas what's causing this and how to fix!

Is there a copy of the vault_client_install.log? It would be in your users temp directory, %temp%. Send me a copy as an attachment to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda.
