Hatteras is a spicy new SQL Server-based, fully transactional, client-server source control system that will blow your socks off.
Sound familiar? ;-) Whither Vault?

As I said here: http://weblogs.asp.net/mlafleur, it is about time Microsoft took notice of SCC. But I'm still not going anywhere.

I'm not going anywhere either. 8)

In fact, some of the Whidbey stuff looks pretty cool. Since we know the Whidbey API will be open, I can't wait to get Vault running with the new Version Control hooks.

When we're done, I think people will be very happy with the integration we hope to attain with Vault and our upcoming bug tracking system.

The bug tracking solution is really interesting to me. I've been using FogBugz for a few years now, but if your bug tracking solution is anything like vault you may have a convert.

Is there a timetable on it yet btw?

I'll leave your question for someone else. Here is the original thread http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=483.
