This is a recurrent problem that I'm having, and I'm not sure whether the feature is missing, or whether I can't find it, or if what I want is just philosophically opposed to the idea of having source control.
Is there any way to undo a check-in?
I don't necessarily need for every trace of that check-in to disappear, but could a new check-in be created that just reverses what another check-in did?
For example, if I have a file in Version 2. I make some changes to it, and I involuntarily commit. Now it's in version 3.
Can i do something that will either take it back to Version 2 (no pinning, I'm just talking about an incomplete edit for example), or will make it a Version 4, but with the contents being the same as v2?
Also, what most often happens to me...
Can I undo a Delete?
Sometimes we delete a file erroneously, and we want it back...
I know I can get my hands on the file by "getting" an older version, and then adding it back to the repository, but that'll make it a new file. I lose all the history, etc, etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

If that check-in was just a file or a few files, then use the rollback feature. You will find that when you run a history query. Select the version you want to roll back to and the function is in the menus of a completed history query. If you have a lot to roll back or an entire folder, then it gets more complex. Let me know if you ever need to do that.
You can undo a delete. Just go to the parent folder of what you deleted, right-click and select properties, then go to the Deleted items tab. Select the item you want returned and click undelete.
Obliterates can't be undone, so if there's any question about something, don't obliterate.
For a complete copy of something including the history, we have Folder Export/Import. That's included with the client install. Just look under Start, Programs, SourceGear Vault and the tool will be listed in that group. That's only for exporting a folder and all its contents and history. If it's only a file, then you would have to add it again without history.
