Vault 3.1.9 Installation on Windows Server 2008

Hi.
Our company wants to move our reliable vault server from a Windows Server 2000 Box to a
Windows 2008 Server.

I'm aware that our Vault Version (3.1.9) is not very up to date, but
we paid for it and don't want to spend more money at this point.

The Installation on the 2008 Server fails with the following Log.
It didnt help me pin down the Problem.
Maybe one of you guys sees this and can offer a clue how to fix the installation?

Vault 3.1.9 is not supported on Windows 2008. I know you're reluctant to upgrade, but older versions of our product are not always compatible with newer technology. That is why there is value in upgrading. There are many new security features and other features in Windows 2008 that the Vault 3.1.9 installer and Server were not designed to handle.

Vault 4.1.2 is supported on Windows 2008.
