FailDBFault on Checkin of Dataset

Post by Vehlin » Wed Jul 09, 2008 4:06 am

I'm having problems committing any changes to a dataset to the vault, I check it out, make the change, but when I come to check it in I receive the FailDBFault error, with no other explanation.

We're currently running Vault 4.04 and have been able to run this operation in the past. It also seems to be affecting multiple projects on multiple clients.

I've tracked this down to the multiple copies of a file issue with vault 4.04.

Upgrade time methinks

There's no cost for you to upgrade to Vault 4.1.2, our latest version, since you're already on 4.x.

Unfortunately this upgrade has now placed us on a different version of Vault to a number of clients. Is there any easy way to switch between which version of the client we are using?

Users can just install the latest release over their current client installation. It should only take a few minutes.

They can download the client from our downloads page:

Or once you've installed the 4.1.2 Vault Server, they can download clients from your server machine from the Vault Home page:
