Hi all,

In the change history screen on the web admin

Transaction details for transaction 12079
The user responsible for this transaction is: mshe Name Date Version Diff Blame Action Comment
boot.ini 4/17/2008 12:17:12 AM 1 view blame Delete

If I click blame, I get the following error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Is this a bug?

I couldn't reproduce this in Vault 4.1.1.

Does this happen on any file or just some files?

What version of Vault are you using?

Hi,

It happens in v4.1.1 on one file - we just upgraded from v3.1.9 to v4.1.1.

This is how the error showed up:

1. Create new folder in repository
2. Upload a small text file into the newly created folder
3. Add a folder watch
4. Delete the file
5. Check e-mail to receive folder alert
6. Open up web link in e-mail
7. View blame of deleted file

Got it. It's trying to show blame on a file that's been deleted, and since the file doesn't exist in the tree, there's an error.

We should handle this better; I'll log a bug.
