In Client 3.01, in Manage Profiles I specify the profile and check "automatically connect using this profile". The Client does so.
When I open a solution in Visual Studio.Net 2003, I see a dialog "connect to server"; the dropdown box "select profile" is not pre-filled; I can select the profile, but the checkbox "automatically connect using this profile" under the dropdown box is disabled.

We've been getting other reports of this as well, and we are trying to track this down.
Can you read over the KB article at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2474 and see whether you have bad characters in your solution/project file? If so, please report back so we know whether that was the problem.
We still don't know why those characters are being inserted in the solution file, so any info would help.
