Check-in overwrote local file with old version

Hi,

Our Vault server is v2.06. One of our users (using client 2.03) reported that when he checked in a file, the new version is not checked in. In the contrary, his local file is overwritten by an older version. The new version should be local version 6 and the local file was overwritten by remote version 2.

It's the 1st time I got this error. The user told me he just checked in from within VS2003. Can you please hint any possible cause?

Can this problem be reproduced? It doesn't make a lot of sense that the file would be overwritten with an older version. Is it possible that VS is confused as to where the real working folder is?

Also, we do recommend that client and server versions match. They should be interoperable within 2.0.x, but it would be one less variable to consider.
