VS 2002 Integration with Vault 3.0.1

We have been using vault version 2.0.4 and decided to upgrade to Vault 3.0.1. The upgrade in large part was a success with the exception of the IDE integration.

We use VS 2002 .Net and when I attempt to log into the vault on loading my solution I get this error:

"Required field/property VaultService. VaultAuthVaule of SOAP header VaultAuth was not set by the client prior to making the call."

Is there a log file that I can send support to diagnose the problem.

VS 2002 is not supported in Vault 3.0, because 3.0 requires the 1.1 framework, and VS 2002 can only use the 1.0 framework. If you absolutely must use VS 2002, you might need to roll back to Vault 2.x until you can upgrade both at the same time. Sorry for the bad news.

I'm not sure that we have a solution for you, other than upgrading to VS.NET 2003.

VS.NET 2002 uses the 1.0 .NET Framework. Vault 2.0 and 3.0 use the 1.1 .NET Framework.

We had a patch for Vault 2.0 that made it possible to use VS.NET 2002, but I don't believe Vault 3.0 supports this.

Vault 3.0 does support integration with VS.NET 2003.
