An error was found with the baseline file for

Post by Nickt » Mon Dec 06, 2004 2:42 pm

We were using Vault 2.06 and just upgraded to 3.0. We were getting this problem with 2.06 and still getting it with 3.0.

Actions taken:
1. Show labels on any project we have.
2. Get on any labeled version
3. It will start getting the files.

An error was found with the baseline file for examplename.aspx.vb. Refetching baseline and retrying get operation...

We get this message relative to the number of modified files in that label from the previous label still on the target machine. It appears to get 2 of the modified files and doesn't change the rest(which causes the huge headache/problem).
We then do the same thing getting the label which will throw the same messages minus 2(the only 2 it gets that pass). This process repeats until we get all of the files 2 at a time basically.

Using MDE 2003

I've reproduced what you're describing here. I'll investigate the cause and give you more information soon.

same issue - An error was found with the baseline file for..

Post by shenderson » Thu Dec 09, 2004 2:15 pm

We had the same exact issue here the other day with one of our files. We kept getting "An error was found with the baseline file for..." whenever we would try to check out the fle or do a get latest version. The only way we were able to fix it is to delete the file from Vault and readd it in the repository.

We are using Vault 2.06.

Thanks,

The problem that was reported by Nickt is fixed in 3.0.1 of Vault. The server must be upgraded to get the fix.

Shane, if you still get your problem in 3.0.1, ping this thread again.
