Server Binding <Unable to Display>

Post by rshillington » Wed Feb 25, 2004 7:20 am

VS.NET 7.1.3088
.NET Framework 1.1.4322
Vault 2.0.0. (2120)
--------------------

Just wondering what/why <Unable to Display> shows up in the "Change Source Control" dialog box in VS.NET

Good question - I've wondered that myself. It seems to be harmless, since connections seem to work fine when it is displayed.

It is possible that Vault isn't providing the information that VS wants to display there. I need to check whether VSS or SOS displays valid info there.

I'll add this to "investigate" pile...

Have you found why this is showing up like this even if we have all the projects checked in properly ?

Yes, this ends up being a limitation of VS2003. They only display information there for SourceSafe, and for all other SCC providers they display <Unable to Display>.
