New feature request: version list

It would be more useful if version for a project was set from a list and not as a string (especially for .net projects).

1.0
1.1
1.2.0.11222

Also custom lists.

Do you mean the version list should be a customizable list like the rest of the lists or something different?

Version list should work exactly like milestones (per project) with fields like version - date - description(changes) etc

What I meant with "custom list" was an extension to your custom fields Custom1 or Custom2, which will work as a lookup like Status, Priority(database scope).
